Econet Insurance a flagship of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe has launched another million-dollar promotion under its vehicle insurer EcoSure Moovah. The promotion is a strategy designed to gain more subscribers in the local motor insurance industry.

The EcoSure Moovah service was launched a month ago on the back of a micro-insurance technological platform, with the company now setting its sights on the September motor vehicle insurance renewal cycle. The promotion will showcase EcoSure’s unique benefits and make a strong case to the motoring public to get covered.

The million dollar promotion is comprised of 200 000 liters of fuel up for grabs and lots of airtime to be won by those who participate in the competition.

Econet said the EcoSure Moovah million-dollar promotion will guarantee that for every insured vehicle, motorists drive away with unprecedented benefits, while the lucky ones can look forward to winning amazing prizes that include vehicles, cash and hundreds of fuel coupons and vouchers in the draw.

It said the draws will be held at the end of each month, and a bonus draw for the main prize will be held together with the second month’s draw.

Speaking at the launch of EcoSure Moovah back in July, the CEO of Econet’s Cassava Zimbabwe, Mr Eddie Chibi, said the company was on a mission to help grow insurance compliance to 100 percent.

“It is in fact a statutory requirement that every vehicle should be insured, but there are more uninsured vehicles on our roads, than insured vehicles,” Mr Chibi said at the time.

Addressing stakeholders during the promotion launch in Harare today, Eddie Chibi said his company was delivering on the promise to offer flexible, convenient and reliable motor insurance services to the local market.

Eddie Chibi further added that the million-dollar promotion which will run from August 31 to November 5, 2018 was intended to create awareness and educate the public on the need for motor vehicle insurance, as well as give incentives to every motorist who participates in the promotion, so that they insure their vehicles.

The promotion, called ‘Moove Over to Moovah’, comes with guaranteed prizes for the first 20 000 motorists that will insure their vehicles during the current term.

The first 20 000 motorists to insure their vehicles, or to renew their vehicle insurance duration the promotion, will drive away with a minimum 10 litres of fuel each, $5 worth of free airtime, and an additional $2,000 free accident cover, free funeral cover, free Hospital cash-back cover, as well as free delivery of insurance cover notes – among other exclusive benefits.

The draw includes two brand new Isuzu trucks, thousands in cash, smart phones, Kwenga devices, Kwese Play devices (Roku Boxes), sponsored Motor Vehicles Insurance Terms, free Connected Car installation and six-month free subscription for EcoSure and personal accident cover and over $100,000 worth of Econet Airtime.
