Boost For Bosso Ahead Of Chibuku Super Cup Final As Dube, De Jongh Scoop Awards

Resurgent Bulawayo giants Highlanders got a major boost ahead of their Chibuku Super Cup final showdown against Platinum miners, Ngezi Platinum FC after their coach Hendrikus Pieter de Jongh and chief striker Prince Dube both won the month of October Player and Coach of the month awards respectively.

Bosso face off with Ngezi Platinum FC at Barbourfields Stadium on 30 November in the final of the Chibuku Super Cup.

Since taking over reign, the Dutch mentor has brought back smiles of a handful of die-hard Bosso supporters who stood by the team even in trying times. His charges have seen Bosso raise from near bottom position to fight for top four finish.

The Bulawayo giants have also done well in the cup competition where they brushed aside traditional rivals like Dynamos, FC Platinum and their bogey side ZPC Kariba to reach the finals.

Chief striker Dube has also rediscovered his form, scoring crucial goals that helped Bosso reach the Chibuku super cup finals.

With the finals exactly 10 days away, Bosso will be looking to bag their first trophy in as many years in the process booking a seat in the African safari where they will represent Zimbabwe in the CAF Confederations cup.
