Commonwealth Observer Mission Condemns Post Zim Election Violence

Commonwealth Observer Mission has strongly condemned the violence which erupted soon after Zimbabwe went to harmonized elections which were held on the 30th of July, a week ago.

The politically motivated violence saw six lives being claimed in the streets of Harare after some members of the Zimbabwe Defense Forces opened gunfire against unarmed civilians.

The violence was a result of ZEC’s delay in announcing presidential election results which pushed MDC Alliance supporters to protest in the capital city’s streets.
