Croco Motors Donates Reusable Sanitary Pads to Kowo Community in Mutoko

On Thursday, October 13, 2022, Croco Motors and the Kunashe Foundation donated hygienic kits and reusable sanitary pads to women and girls in Mutoko district, Mashonaland East.

The two organisations also took time to teach the beneficiaries on oral hygiene techniques especially during menstruation period.

One of the Croco Motors marketing representatives, Rutendo Mhandu said, “As Croco Motors, we are glad to continue our initiative to educate and encourage local women and girls in adopting rigorous sanitary practices while going through their menstrual cycles.”

Mhandu added that they felt compelled to chip in with assistance after noting that girls especially in rural areas lacked support, resources and facilities they need to manage their menstruation while attending school.

To ensure sustainability, Croco Motors and Kunashe Foundation have since moved a gear up from donating reusable sanitary pads to school going kids to the entire community.

“This donation, which continues to support the girl child’s education, encouragement, and success in her studies will expand beyond Kowo community. Women in the community will also assist the young girls when they begin their menstruation since they are knowledgeable of proper hygienic procedures,” added Mhandu.

The initiative fits into Croco Motors’ core values of prioritizing the development of the next generation of leaders.
