Mrs. Gatsi was speaking at an event organised by N.AC and the Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council (Z.N.F.P.C) held at Harare Polytechnic where she implored youths, especially students, to practice responsible behaviour.

“I say to the youths, abstain or practice correct and consistent use of condoms to protect yourselves from Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs),” said Mrs. Gatsi.

Mrs. Gatsi paid tribute to other organizations involved in educating youths on STIs.

“We move around Zimbabwe with different groups such as Young People’s Network which is a lamp that guides youths on the right channels of life. We partner organizations such as Adult Rape Clinic, PSI, ZNFPC to provide education on STIs to youth,” she said.

Thomas Mugwisi a member of Young People’s Network said students should not only learn about HIV but put knowledge into practice

NAC took the opportunity to demonstrate to the students the proper way of wearing a condom.

The awareness campaign also sought to sensitise students on issues to do with rape.
