Chibuku Super Cup draw conducted

Bulawayo giants Highlanders have been paired against Mutare City in the Chibuku Super Cup round of 16.

In a draw conducted in Harare, for Bosso the match looks as an easy one but league matches results will tell otherwise as the newboys managed to collect four points out of a possible six from Bosso.

The Mutare based side drew 0-0 in the first encounter before doing the impossible of beating the Bulawayo giants 2-1 at Babourfields.

In other matches defending champions Harare City will take on Border Strikers. The Sunshine boys beat FC Platinum to win last year’s edition.

Dynamos will hope to shift their focus from the league with an expectation of winning silverware this year when they were pitted against How Mine.

Caps United will play Tsholotsho as they seek a league and cup double, while PSL log leaders FC Platinum who are also candidates for a league and cup double will face off with Chapungu.

In other matches Sunday Chidzambwa’s ZPC Kariba will square off with Bulawayo City.

It will be a battle of veteran coaches when David Mandigora’s Triangle lock horns with Rahman Gumbo’s Chicken Inn.

A battle of miners is on when Ngezi Platinum entertain Hwange.

The Chibuku Super Cup round of 16 matches will take place from 16 to 18 September, the quarter finals are set for 30 September to 2 October, the last four is scheduled for 21 to 23 October with the final put down for 5 November.
