Phase One Headline Acts Announced: Zafari, Prince Kaybee, Flying Bantu & More Kick Off The Excitement

Africa’s most exhilarating music and adventure festival, The Vic Falls Carnival, returns in 2019 at one of the Seven Wonders of the World for a once-in-a-lifetime New Year’s experience, bigger and better than ever! Adrenalin-pumping adventure, an incredible setting and a music hungry crowd all mixed with local and international music-fans boasting a lineup that showcases the best talent from around Africa, and the world.

This year’s launch artists are sure to make your New Year’s unforgettable! Keeping the local flavour at the forefront, this year’s event will see Carnival favourites back on stage for their African fans – Prince Kaybee, Zafari, Flying Bantu, Samthing Soweto and Botswana’s Sereetsi & The Natives kick off phase one local acts with many more to come in the next artist phase announcements.

Following the major success of last year’s format, the Vic Falls Carnival has once again created the best way to spend your last 3 days of 2019! Travel, adventure and of course, music, all in one renowned setting, Africa’s majestic Mosi-oa-Tunya, ‘the smoke that thunders’.

29 December 2019 – ELECTRIC CARNIVAL TRAIN

Get dressed up in traditional African fabrics, paint your faces and bring masks for a journey unlike any other through the African bush veld with legendary DJ Francis on board as you speed past lions and elephants. The train stops in a secret bush location in the Vic Falls wildlife park for an unforgettable night under the stars with back to back DJ’s on board to keep the train vibe going through the night.

30 December 2019 – CONCERT AT VIC FALLS PRIMARY SCHOOL

Start your New Year’s celebration early with an electric night of the best in live house, African, indie and electro-pop. What’s the best way to get warmed up? With a strong piping hot mix from Africa’s biggest artists headlining the night with many more artists to be announced. The action doesn’t stop there, head down into town for a host of parties at popular local venues, like Shoestrings Lodge.

31 December 2019 – NEW YEAR’S UNITY CONCERT

Ring in the countdown with thousands of adventure-loving travellers from all over the world, fire breathers, traditional dancers and experience a once-in-a-lifetime New Years!

The excitement doesn’t stop at the festival grounds – spend your days white water rafting, bungee jumping, or sip on a cocktail whilst you watch the vulture feeding and watering hole action at Safari Lodge. All festival goers receive 10% off all adventure packages when booked with your festival ticket
