In an exciting encounter that could shape the 2017 Premier soccer league season, 2016 champions, Caps United are set to lock horns with Chibuku Super Cup winners Ngezi Platinum at the Baobab Stadium on Wednesday.

Going into the match, the two teams dropped points in their previous games at the weekend with the green machine sharing spoils boys at home with Tsholotsho FC while Ngezi Platinum Stars FC ‘Madamburo’ had to eat humble pie after losing 1-0 to debutants Yadah FC.

The Chibuku Cup winners Ngezi Platinum will be looking to prove their worthy and will be banking on their rich selection of players such as  Godknows ‘Zizo’ Murwira, Dominic ‘Zato’ Mukandi and young Marvin Kwinjo among others. Considering that the game will be played at their homeground, things could work to their favor especially after a disappointing in which they were surprised by Magaya’s team.

Makepekepe will seek to justify their qualification in the lucrative money spinning stage by collecting maximum points against Ngezi Platinum who failed to progress to the groups stages of the CAF Confederations Cup.

In an interview with 263Chat, Ngezi coach, Tonderai Ndiraya said his team will play their normal game though they have respect for the green machine.
