Harare businessman, Herbert Nkala has taken over chairmanship of the Zimbabwe’s retail giant, OK Zimbabwe following the retirement of David Lake, the company has announced.
“Following the retirement of David Lake, the board is pleased to announce the election of Mr Herbert Nkala as the new chairman with immediate effect.
Nkala is a renowned corporate marketing consultant with several local and international assignments.
His career in the corporate world began as National Breweries Marketing Director and later at Dairiboard Zimbabwe in the same capacity.
Nkala was once the Chief Executive of a re-branded and commercialized Zimbabwe Tourism Development Corporation (Rainbow Tourism Group).
Apart from the FBCH board, Nkala also chairs the boards of Turnall Fibre Cement, Homelink Zimbabwe,African Sun and Zimbabwe Grain Bag. and is a trustee of the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Scholarship Foundation among his many positions in the corporate sector.
