Zanu PF Women’s League Boss Torches Storm

Zanu PF women’s league political commissar and midlands senator Maybe Mbowa has torched a storm after she was recorded inciting violence and plotting to kidnap Gokwe Nembudziya legislator Justice Mayor Wadyajena.

Gokwe Nembudziya is one of the constituencies where Zanu PF electoral commissariat has withheld results due to ‘gross irregularities’.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa ordered a re-run in the constituency.

Wadyajena is currently involved in a bruising battle for the seat with former minister Flora Buka.

Mbowa addressed people last week at a meeting organized by Buka where she incited violence against Wadyajena.

“Mayor (Wadyajena) is making a comeback so that he can have another chance to loot again. People of Gokwe open your eyes; you cannot continue to be oppressed by one person. Form an anti-rigging team that will be campaigning for Buka. Show people why it is bad to retain this young boy who is so evil. There should be people who should block him before crossing the Sanyati River. We should bar him.

“Grab his agents. Record videos and make sure that his agents are arrested. There are high ranking officials who want to retain him. We are faced with an enemy; we are faced with the evil one. Youths rise up and crush this snake, we cannot keep on entertaining this tick,” she said.

Contacted for comment, Mbowa confirmed that she addressed the meeting.

Wadyajena said he was unfazed with the threats but he will continue to ‘preach peace.’

“It’s an election year, and I am not sure what my enemies are plotting against me. As has been reiterated by President Mnangagwa, I preach peace and harmony in my gatherings,” he said.
