Popular hip-hop star, Holy Ten has sent a tribute for his backup singer, only identified as Jay D, who died in a car accident they were involved in on Friday, some 20km outside of Gweru.
In his tribute, Holy Ten quoted a number of biblical verses before expressing that he had dreams and plans to share with Jay D before his untimely passing.
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: For your sake we face death; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:35-39,” wrote the singer on his Facebook.
He added. ” have a lot to say but I’m not sure who to say it to when he’s gone. I share the pain with Nathan’s family and friends. We had barely started what we said we’re gonna do together. Rest in Peace my brother, friend, advisor. MY LOVE FOR YOU REMAINS.”
Intricate details as to what exactly transpired leading to the accident are yet to materialise.
