Members of the Kairos Community Church International (KCCI) have combined with former Zimpraise members to form a new gospel choir named Kairos Praise Choir.

The new 55 member choir, already working on launching a debut live DVD was formed by Barbra Tigere, Apostle Charles Jonasi and a Mr Chivinga all from KCCI church.
“On the 25 February 2017, the choir will launch its first DVD live recording, the recordings will be done at KCCI church in Waterfalls,”said Mr Chivinga adding that the reason why they formed the choir was to promote the vast talent existing in his church without platforms to showcase it.
Chivinga added that the group is made up of youths from the community and upcoming artists who have recorded works but struggling to break into the music industry.
“This choir will help talented young people to realise their full potential, which was a major challenge they were facing, so the live DVD recording will be our first initiative with other plans set for the future,” said Chivinga.
He added that they are in the process of looking for sponsorship and support for the live DVD recording.
Choral music groups are on a rise in Zimbabwe with Zimpraise standing as Zimbabwe’s biggest success story. The interdenominational choir which has more than three DVDs to its name has toured Europe, America and South Africa performing in front of record crowds.
