NetOne Partners BancABC, First Mutual Life

Zimbabwe’s second largest mobile network operator, Netone has partnered with BancABC and First Mutual Life to introduce new products that are expected to cement its place as the most improved operator in the country.

The partnership which has seen Netone introducing OneCover, a mobile insurance scheme and OneTech a mobile phone loan plan for existing and prospective subscribers.

Speaking at the launch of the two products held in Harare on Thursday, Netone acting Chief Executive Officer, Brian Mutandiro said the OneTech scheme is for existing and prospective subscribers.

“One Tech is a scheme for our existing and prospective subscribers and is bankrolled by BancEasy a subsidiary of Banc ABC to tune of $10 million.

“Netone subscribers will have an option to choose from a variety of smart phones from reputable international brands like Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Nokia, Alcatel, ZTE and Lenovo.

“The phones range from old versions to the latest release like Samsung 8+, Huawei P10 and Mate 9,” said Mutandiro.

He also said the devices will come with complimentary free OneFusion airtime for 12 months.

“The devices will come with a complimentary free One fusion airtime for 12 months with customers getting a maximum of One fusion $20 per month depending on the device one chooses to purchase,” he said.
He also said One Cover seeks to drive inclusion through affordable plans, ease access, leveraging on the reputation and the market share of Netone Cellular.

“One Cover is an affordable micro mobile insurance that offers Funeral insurance to our subscribers and is underwritten by First Mutual Life that is the reason we are together today.

“One Cover seeks to drive inclusion through affordable plans, ease access, leveraging on the reputation and share of Netone Cellular and the user experience is 100% mobile, from sign up to claims initiation,” he said.
