Over the weekend, musicians continued with their duties at various outlets. With the year fast approaching midway, the stage has steamed up and showbizz is now at full throttle.

The weekend kick-started with the undisputed king of sungura, Alick Macheso and man of the moment in the Zimdancehall Soul Jah Love invading Masvingo on Saturday.

Sungura and Zimdancehall lovers were treated to some fantastic performance and the song of the moment Pamamonya ipapo proved a major hit with fans who could not have enough of it throughout the night.

In Harare, the Headmaster as Bob Nyabinde is famously known was at Jazz 24/7 with his son Aggabu Nyabinde. The young Aggabu performed a lot of covers songs proving that he is indeed heading for a bright future as he showed his versatility with any music genre. The headmaster is still a force to reckon, his hit songs such as Panenyaya entertained the crowd leaving a lasting impression of the man who has been in the industry for quite a long time.

Forgotten Dendera musician, Tryson Chimbetu was in Kambuzuma where he performed before a fully packed house. The young Dendera singer is proving to be better every time he performs but he needs a manager who understands the music industry if he is to reach his potential. Sekuru Dhimba as he calls himself has mastered perfect art of playing songs by the late Simon and Naison Chimbetu and undisputedly he is the most talented of the surviving sons of the legendary Marxist brothers but it appears he has not learnt anything from the years he has been down.
