Bidders Outshine Each Other At Kadoma Writer’s Book Launch

Bidders jostled to out shine each other during the official launch of Kadoma born author and community based builder Believe Guta’s inspirational book, Hard Times Never Kill in Kadoma recently.

The book launch was graced by a number of renowned business people from the mining town who came to support the youthful writer all the away.

Loveday Machinjili of LGK Electricals ended up being the highest bidder, buying a single copy of the book at $400 (RTGs). The second highest bidder was Prophet Tafadzwa Muzira of World of Fire Ministries, who bought the book at $350(RTGs) while the third highest bidder paid $330 (RTGs) for the book.

“The launch was a success. I can tell you that within the first hour of the event, we had sold few books that had raised more than $2000 (RTGs). The response was overwhelming,” said Guta.

Guta, a recipient of numerous awards courtesy of the Alpha Media Holdings projects, the Community Builders Awards, said he was inspired by motivational speaker Noah Mangwarara, who has written and published a number of books.

Mangwarara was the guest of honour at the event.

“His contribution in term of writing books has also made me realize how I can communicate through writing books. He has done a lot, I hope to do much as well,” Guta said.

Guta said his book will soon be on sale in bookshops countrywide.
