Zim Tourism Giant Bags Two More Gongs

Impala car rental, the premier tourism luxury firm continues to shine on the local scene after scooping big prizes at the Institute of Public Relations and Communication Zimbabwe.

The firm bagged Best Influence Strategy (first runner up) at the Public Relations and Communications awards held last week while its Brand and Project Manager Tracy Ngoma was crowned Young Public Relations Practitioner of the Year.

The awards cement the domination of the premier tourism luxury firm in the domestic market which is projected to grow in the next few years on the back of National tourism strategy.

Ngoma credited the accolades to the company’s customer-centric approach and the work ethic engrained in the team over the years.

“It is an honour to receive any form of accolade. We value such recognition as it clearly shows that we are doing things right. We were also humbled to be selected as winners,” said Ngoma.

She added: “I believe we are consistent in the way we do things, and in our service delivery as such those that have direct contact with our service, know for certain the values we uphold as a company.

“As testimony of our excellency in customer service we have been scooping these awards for the past five years. We also owe it to our visionary leader Mr Thompson Dondo, the chief executive officer who is customer-centric and has an open door policy in managing the business.”

Ngoma said they will continue doing excellent job in all departments including the social corporate responsibility.

“We will continue with excellency in all departments, making sure that we do our best. On social cooperate responsibility we will make sure that there is continuity. We will reach out to those who are under privileged,” she said.

Impala car rental has been dominating the domestic market in the last few years which has seen the firm expanding its tentacles beyond the country’s borders.

Besides business the company has been implementing a vibrant corporate social responsibility where a number of disadvantaged families getting assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The accolades comes barely a week after the car rental giant was voted as the Superbrand of the Year and the Most Trusted Brand of the Year in the Car Hire category of this year’s Marketers Association of Zimbabwe awards and Chartered Institute of Customer Relationship Management respectively.
