Zimbabwe Cricket’s eagerly awaited Domestic T20 Cup is set to get underway in Harare this Sunday, with the participation of English county side Durham adding an exciting dimension to the week-long provincial tournament.
Six teams will tussle it out for the coveted silverware in morning, afternoon and night fixtures.
Southern Rocks will face Rhinos in the competition’s opening match at Old Hararians Sports Club, scheduled to start at 0930 hours.
On the same day, Harare Sports Club will host afternoon and night games featuring Durham versus Mountaineers (1330 hours) and Eagles against Tuskers (1830 hours) respectively.
The next matchday, Monday, will see Rhinos take on Eagles before Mountaineers meet Rocks in the double-header at Old Hararians, while there will only be night action at Harare Sports Club with Durham entertaining Eagles.
Rhinos play Eagles at Old Hararians on Tuesday morning, with Harare Sports Club hosting Durham versus Rocks in the afternoon and Mountaineers against Tuskers in the evening of the same day.
Wednesday is designated as rest-day.
The round-robin matches will continue on Thursday and Friday at both venues, culminating in two playoff fixtures and the final on Saturday at Harare Sports Club.
Spectators can watch all the T20 matches in person free of charge.
Selected fixtures will be live-streamed on Zimbabwe Cricket’s YouTube and Facebook channels and website, while ball-by-ball coverage will also be available on the Zimbabwe Cricket mobile app.
There will be loads of entertainment for both young and old, with a live performance by some of the country’s top musicians lined up for the final day.
