Zambia Scraps PCRs For Vaxxed Visitors

With effect from  28 March 2022, vaccinated arrivals no longer need to present a negative PCR test result to be granted entry to Zambia.

Unvaccinated travellers, however, still need to submit a negative PCR test taken within the 72 hours prior to departure.

Children aged 11 years and younger are exempt from having to present proof of either vaccination or a negative test result, according to a release from the Zambian Ministry of Health.

Passengers transiting through Lusaka must also adhere to these new regulations, Proflight Zambia has advised in a communication to the trade.

There is currently no restriction on the date of completion of the primary vaccination course before it no longer qualifies as ‘fully vaccinated’. A booster vaccine dose is also not mandatory.
