We Had A Dream To Qualify: Lloyd Chitembwe

Lloyd Chitembwe has defied odds to become the first coach to take Caps United to the lucrative mini league stage of the CAF Champions League after overseeing his side dump five time winners, TP Mazembe out of the tournament.

To Chitembwe, their qualification was only possible because they had a dream to make a name for themselves in African football.

In an interview with the gaffer he said “dreaming is good and remember for one to achieve a lot he needs to dream that much, dreaming is the one thing that have took us where we are today.”

“The boys worked as a team because they wanted to make history, everyone knew the purpose why they were in the ground but although Tout Puissant Mazembe had a good game they dominated especially in attacking but my boys did not panic.”

“This result was for the 12th men because they made us proud today they came in numbers and this means that Zimbabweans have faith in us

“I need to take this time to thank the team owner Farai Jere for what he has organized for the boys and this has built something in the players mind and we hope we can do well in this tournament.”
