Zanu PF youths today labelled Higher Education Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo as an agent of the “American intelligence services”.
This surfaced at press conference by Zanu PF youths groups including Zimbabwe College Students Union, Ziliwaco trust, Children of Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans’ Association (CZNLWVA) and the National Youth Service which sought to encourage members to participate in the one million march slated for the 25th of this month.
Zimbabwe College Students Union President Tonderai Chidawa accused G40 ring leaders, minister Moyo and minister Kasukuwere of being agents of the CIA who are on a drive to cause confusion in the ruling party. He added that Moyo and Kasukuwere have long been working with the American Intelligence Service, CIA, and are retrogressive to the party’s policies.

“Jonathan Moyo and Savior Kasukuwere are well known agents of the CIA and they are working with the enemy to destroy the party.
“We are warning them to stop acting against party policies or face expulsion.
We have been watching their moves and their actions are tantamount to the progressive policies that the party has put in place. They want to destroy the party by dining with the CIA ’’ Chidawa said.
He added that Jonathan Moyo will face the same predicament which befell Olivia Muchena in 2014 when a petition was forwarded to the president calling for her expulsion from Zanu Pf.
“In 2014, students triggered the expulsion of Olivia Muchena and let me remind Moyo that his days are numbered and he will face the same chopping axe” he said.

He also said President Mugabe is taking his time in expelling Moyo but warned that soon or later the purge will descend upon him and the will be dealt with accordingly.
This is not the first that the two have been accused of working with the CIA. In 2014, former Zanu Pf Hurungwe West Legislature, Temba Mliswa labelled them “CIA gay gangsters” saying they were working with the agency and were receiving monetary rewards for spying.
Mliswa also accused Moyo of abusing his ministerial post to punch at his political opponents by planting subversive reports in the State media.
Speaking at the same press conference, Obey Mashanda, National Treasurer of ZICOSU invited members of the public to participate in the One Million Man March.
“All our members and the general public are cordially invited and sincerely encouraged to participate in this august event, first of its kind in total support of President Mugabe. This is for all the years that he has stood and championed the Africa Revolution particularly the Zimbabwean struggle in which he strongly advocated for the independence of the black person,” he said.
