Harare Magistrates Court has today cleared former NetOne boss, Reward Kangai who arrested on early this year on allegations of abuse of power during his time at the country’s second biggest mobile network operator.

Kangai was arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) on the 10th of January early this year and has been on remand awaiting the finalization of his case.

“I am happy to inform you that today, the Harare Magistrates Court has removed me from remand, so l am free. Its been a long struggle for almost four years now.” confirmed Reward Kangai during a phone conversation.

Kangai’s exoneration comes at a time when he is expected to testify against former Minister of Information Communication Technology and Cybersecurity, Supa Mandiwanzira arrested early this month on allegations of criminal abuse of office.

Since his exit from NetOne, Kangai has been fighting with Mandiwanzira whom he accused of running a cartel at the state owned entity.
