Nash Paints appoints new CEO

A leading paint manufacturer, Nash Paints has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer to takeover the running of affairs from the founder Tinashe Mutarisiri who has now assumed the Executive Chairman post.

Dr Tagarira Mutenga who takes over the reigns at Nash Paints was introduced as the new Chief Executive Officer at the company offices in Harare on Wednesday.

Introducing the new CEO, Mutarisi said they are targeting to grow the brand beyond the country borders.

“For the past 11 years we did a lot of things in Zimbabwe to the extend that we are the biggest paint producers in the country, we are now targeting to grow beyond our motherland.

“Our business has been growing like we expected and we need to thank our valuable costumers for believing in us,” said Mutarisiri.

He added that, “the celebration we are having today is a positive nudge for me and the Nash Paints team as we continue serving the nation  and I want to thank God for taking me this far, all our stakeholders, clients, suppliers and lastly my family.”

The new CEO, Dr Mutenga said his target is big as he needs to exceed the level set by the previous CEO.

“I am going to try to make the brand go international as we are opening another plant in Zambia and I want to set my record at Nash Paints,” said Dr Mutenga.
