Harare, Zimbabwe — Edgars Stores, a name that’s been synonymous with fashion and quality in Zimbabwe since 1946, is celebrating 77 years of dressing the nation in top style. To mark this milestone, they’re running the ever-popular Fashion Extravaganza from 9 October to 11 November, and this year’s theme is all about reinforcing their founding beliefs and value offerings: “Exclusivity, Fashionability and Quality.”
Edgars has been part of Zimbabwe’s fashion landscape for nearly eight decades, starting as one small department store and growing its footprint across Zimbabwe to become the country’s go-to fashion destination with 25 stores nationwide.

Edgars Stores Marketing Manager, Mrs. Priscillah Nyawera had this to say on Edgars’ contributions over the years, “This year’s theme is all about reasserting the values that made Edgars great – Exclusivity, Fashionability and Quality and recognising that these elements still run in our DNA in 2023 and beyond. Edgars Stores pole position as a fashion giant cannot be disputed and over the years we have extended our CSR to empower local designers through our Local Designers Initiative. This year we onboarded 6 designers who will be selling their designer wear in selected Edgars stores during the Fashion Extravaganza promotion. We are excited to launch the 13th edition of the Fashion Extravaganza, and to bring the people who have been with us from day one to celebrate with us”.
Edgars Store Managing Director, Mr Peter Mnyama said that this year’s FE campaign is in line with Edgars chain’s renewed strategic desire of re-enforcing the brand position in the market as a leading provider of exclusive, fashionable, quality merchandise. “With this campaign, we aim to continue to drive the trajectory of market leadership in the fashion / lifestyle space. We are grateful that Edgars has been present for momentous occasions in our customers’ lives, from first job interviews, weddings, graduations, and other memorable occasions. Our promise is to continue to provide the market with exclusive and great quality fashion,” he said.
