Protests spread to rural areas

With all the political activities happening, to win the hearts of prospective voters  both in urban and rural areas, #ZimbabweYadzoka, a subsidiary of Tajamuka has silently made inroads in rural communities – a development that is likely to see more people participating in anti-government protests.

The country witnessed several anti-government protests in recent months, including the biggest stay-at-home demonstration by activist pastor Evan Mawarire’s #ThisFlag movement in July. 

The worsening poverty among most of the Zimbabwean people has fuelled the unrest compelling villagers of Macheke to join in the wave of protests.

Scores of villagers who spoke to this reporter indicated that they are now tired of the Mugabe led regime.
