We Are Winning In 2023: CCC

Opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) vowed that his party will upstage the ruling Zanu PF and emerge victorious in the 2023 harmonised elections.

Addressing journalists in Harare this Wednesday, CCC deputy national spokesperson Gift Ostallos Siziba said it is not political rhetoric that they are winning next year’s do or die elections.

“We are going to be victorious in 2023 elections, President Chamisa as the leading political leader and undisputed leader of the Citizens movement will definitely usher us and lead us to our paths towards democratic breakthrough. We have no doubt I our minds that we are going to win in 21023 election, we are saying this not out of political rhetoric.

“If you read the Afrobarometer report it reads that the Citizens Coalition for Change support is surging while regime in Salisbury support is declining those are scientific studied showing that there is overwhelming consensus within the ordinary people in our country that Zimbabwe needs change,” said Siziba.

He said the country is tired of nationalist speech-making which does not transform the lives of ordinary citizens adding that Bulilima and Gokwe-Kabuyuni by-elections were a sign the party was poised for victory.

“Zimbabwe is exhausted with rhetoric nationalist which does not transform realities of ordinary people, we have won if you follow the elections in Bulilima, we won against State repression, we won against patronage that’s why we are moving under the philosophy of winning against all odds because it’s an easy thing to get 50% of the votes in Gokwe given the violence that happened.

“More than eight government Ministers were there, more than 28 vehicles were barricading the roads, violence became the order of the day, president Chamisa was not allowed freedom of movement, freedom of assembly and right to gather with ordinary people in Gokwe-Kabuyuni they then voted us against these difficulties, this is also happening at the background of weaponisation of food aid,” he said.
