Nine women have appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Court after they reportedly advertised on social media that they offer massage and sexual services.
Natasha Makowe, 18, Annie Mandaza, 27, Ashley Nyamutsaka 21, Nyasha Mungate, 19, Gamuchirai Dzvukutu, 24, Ellen Chiota, 20, Miola Manyange, 19, Euno Chiwara, 24, Mukhtar Banda, 19, appeared before Harare magistrate Banda charged with Soliciting for the purpose of prostitution.
The State alleges that on 2 May 2025 at Around 1540hrs, Z.R.P Licence Inspectorate details comprising of Constable Muri, Constable Mangezi and Constable Bushu, acted on a Facebook and WhatsApp advert which was suggesting that there was a group of ladies providing massage and sexual services.
The advert suggests that besides massage they will also offer s ex and blow job at a cost of USD$20-00 per round.
The address provided was 158 Greendale Avenue Harare. The team made a follow up on the supplied address and CST MURI rang the intercom and was allowed in by one of the accused persons.
He was led inside the house where he was asked to make choice of the room. He was made seated on the bed and the accused persons took turns to introduce themselves to him whilst there were all semi naked before he introduced himself and signaled his colleagues to swiftly react whilst effecting an arrest.
The 9 accused persons where all arrested.
They were remanded in custody to Tuesday May 6 for bail application.
