Julia Rewayi, the Country Manager of South African Airways in Zimbabwe, has expressed her sincere enthusiasm for the forthcoming Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo, which runs from October 12 to 14th in Bulawayo.
“The Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo stands as an illustrious stage to underscore the boundless potential of the regional tourism sector. SAA is thrilled to join hands with South Africa Tourism, and numerous provincial representatives and individual enterprises, all poised to showcase their offerings at this distinguished event,” remarked Rewayi.
She also highlighted SAA’s unwavering commitment to boosting travel between the neighbouring nations in collaboration with both SA Tourism and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. “We celebrate the remarkable surge in tourist arrivals witnessed by both South Africa and Zimbabwe in 2022,” Rewayi revealed. South Africa greeted over half a million Zimbabwean visitors, while Zimbabwe reciprocated with over 230,000 South African tourists. “These figures underscore the exceptional trade relations that bind the two nations, which have been instrumental in fortifying the aviation sector. SAA has historically played a pivotal role in facilitating air access and nurturing these ties,” she added.
Rewayi continued, “This expo offers an excellent opportunity for SAA to spotlight our exceptional services, extensive network, and the unique travel experiences we offer. Through our presence, we aim to shine a light on the captivating attractions and destinations in both Zimbabwe and South Africa, as well as the seamless global connectivity we provide.”
