Ancient Impossible airs on History from Monday 26 October at 21:20 CAT 

Ancient Impossible reveals how many of today’s technological achievements were actually developed centuries ago. Jazz-A Family in Transition

I Am Jazz: A Family in Transition premieres on TLC on Tuesday 27 October at 20:55 CAT

Meet 11-year-old Jazz. She’s already a master at flipping her long hair, is obsessed with mermaids and lives for drama camp. She’s the ultimate American girl. Only… she’s not. Born with what she describes as “a girl brain in a boy body”, Jazz is transgender. Her parents, Greg and Jeanette, say their youngest child’s inclination towards anything girly was noticeable from the start. But only after a landmark fifth birthday party spent in a girls’ swimsuit would Jazz officially start living as a girl. Now, six years later, she’s flourishing. Still, Jazz’s fight for acceptance has only just begun.

Going Places (Ghana) airs on Al Jazeera on 31 October at 23:30 CAT

Zainab Andan and Nimatu Yakubu have both benefited from an international charity bursary. Zainab has graduated from Tamale Islamic Senior High School and is now a youth leader and Nimatu is one of her pupils determined to get an education. Dolores Dickson working for the agency providing these bursaries explains how important education and entrepreneurship can have on within communities creating projects that employ local women. One local project processing shea butter now supplies a range of international outlets including The Body Shop. It also airs on 1 November at 10:30 CAT.

Little Women: LA airs on Lifetime on Wednesdays at 20:00 CAT

There’s nothing small about this loud and proud group who can teach us all a lesson or two about living life to the fullest.

Dowry S2 airs on EbonyLife TV on Fridays at 21:30 CAT
