
Morgan Tsvangirai, leader of the main Movement for Democratic Change has for the first time appeared to his supporters since reports emerged that he was diagnosed of colon cancer two months ago.
Tsvangirai who today showed up at the party offices at Harvest house in Harare was received by hundreds of cheering supporters who were happy to see their leader back at the office.
Soon after arriving at Harvest house, Tsvangirai told his supporters that he was fit and ready to go revealing he was suffering from cancer of the colony and is undergoing chemotherapy in South Africa
“I’m happy to see you again in this spirit and I can assure you that I’m ok. Let’s continue with this fight, be well,” said Tsvangirai before going into a meeting with his cabinet.
Tsvangirai missed the party’s provincial demonstrations held in Bulawayo and Mutare after leading Harare Demonstration in April.
